Composition, baroque lute: Naochika Sogabe
I regularly play in a 13th-century church in my region. This church has optimal acoustics, and my instruments sound so wonderful there — almost surreal. Unfortunately, due to the nearby highway, recording is not possible… So, I try to virtually simulate the sound of this church in the studio.
Some of you have mentioned that I use too much reverb. However, it’s not a product of imagination but rather an imitation of a real space.
